Description:
Come join BEAN as we host the first-ever field trip for the middle school students of Fenfa School!

Volunteers will practice conversational English with the students, teach them how to hold and bowl a bowling ball, and build their self-esteem and confidence by encouraging them in their afternoon at a bowling alley.

Volunteers should arrive for the check in and event instructions at 1:45 and begin working with the students at 2:00.  Please kindly note that volunteers will need to pay for their own bowling shoe rental, which costs approximately 3 RMB; BEAN will pay the lane rental fee.

The event will take place at Orden Bowling Alley, 10 Hengshan Lu, near Gao'an Lu (Metro Line 1 Hengshan Lu stop).

**Note: Please RSVP at beanshanghai@gmail.com if you'd like to attend this event, as we have reserved a limited number of bowling lanes.  Thanks!**

BEAN is "adopting" the students who live at Fenfa School who are in need of ongoing enrichment programs and activities to supplement their highly academic course load.  We are launching a series of programs to help support these students with much-needed attention and mentorship on the model of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.  The BEAN field trip program is part of this initiative.

A special thanks goes out to Burger King for sponsoring lunches for these students!
