BEAN is setting up a cookie-and-coffee booth at the monthly Charity Flea Market.  Volunteers will sell baked goods and coffee to the predominantly local Chinese bargain-hunters.

It's a great chance for volunteers to practice introducing themselves and using words with food and money.  If you're looking for immersion Chinese, unsual ways to give back to the community, and the chance to help out an amazing local charity, then this is the event for you.

The proceeds from the Charity Flea Market, including BEAN's booth, go to Stepping Stones, a BEAN partner and local charity that teaches English in migrant schools.  For more information about the Charity Flea Market, check out:http://www.gongyijia.com/en

There are three shifts available for this event (11-1, 1-3, and 3-5), so please indicate which one you want when you write us at beanshanghai@gmail.com.  Spaces are limited because this is a small-scale BEAN event, so if you're interested, write us sooner rather than later.
