Description:
Help encourage the middle schoolers at Fenfa School to create their own original masterpieces through our art workshops led by BEAN leaders.  The focus of the program is to teach the children about art, which they need developmentally, and to encourage their burgeoning English skills through engaging them in conversations and creative work.

BEAN is "adopting" the students who live at Fenfa School who are in need of ongoing enrichment programs and activities to supplement their highly academic course load.  We are launching a series of programs to help support these students with much-needed attention and mentoriship on the model of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.  The BEAN Art program is part of this initiative.

**Note: Please RSVP at beanshanghai@gmail.com if you'd like to attend this event!  There will be about 25-30 students there, so we want to make sure we don't have more volunteers than children because then there wouldn't be enough work for everyone to do!**

To get to Fenfa School, please take subway Line 1 to the last stop and transfer to Line 5. Get off at Wenjing Lu Station and the school is a 10 minute walk from the subway station.  Sheila will be at the subway station at 1:30 if anyone wants to meet up to walk to the school together; you can reach her at 15921035551.  Otherwise, the instructions and overview of the program are at 1:45 and we begin teaching at 2:00.  Please allow yourself ample time to arrive at the school on time- it takes about 80 minutes from the center.
